2017 Guest Speaker Announced!
Dr. Elaine Hsiao, Assistant Professor in the Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology, University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Hsiao investigates the neurobiology of disease through the prism of interactions between the brain and microbial cells in the gut. Her studies are providing surprising insights into the way these microbes communicate with the central nervous system to regulate complex behaviors such as anxiety, learning and memory, and appetite.
